I would start by making sure this setting is on:
Edit -> Preferences -> Register -> Remember register filters afterwards Quicken closes

Edit -> Preferences -> Register -> Remember register filters later on Quicken closes

Preservation of sort order does not depend on this setting. Sort gild is e'er preserved, without user option. I take no caption for @Joe1of6's trouble except peradventure clicking the Date column header accidentally.

@ Rocket J Squirrel - I just did a Manual Spider web connect, had sort gear up to Date/order entered before the update . Afterwards the update information technology went back to sort past "Date". Been down this road before in customs with no caption! Recollect register filters was checked

I have no explanation either, sorry. I also routinely utilize Date/Order Entered and have never seen this happen.

I recall I found the problem. After I sort to Engagement/Order Entered the register is from bottom upward and then I select the Date button to get the annals to bear witness from the top downwardly. That is when the register changes to the date entered. How do I get the register to stay in the acme to down view?

  • Chris_QPW

Select the Engagement/Order Entered menu item twice, just like clicking on the column header the sort toggles/reverses each time you select it.

EDIT just noticed that fifty-fifty though the sort is reversed the entry for new transactions remains at the bottom of the register.

To Rocket J Squirrel. You are correct in that I was clicking the Date cavalcade header accidentally. Then how practise I get the register to show top to lesser instead of the lesser to meridian flow in the date/Order Entered?

  • mshiggins

I think I establish the problem. Later on I sort to Appointment/Order Entered the register is from lesser up so I select the Appointment button to get the register to prove from the pinnacle down. That is when the register changes to the date entered. How exercise I get the register to stay in the tiptop to down view?

What happens if you alter the sequence?

Beginning click Appointment so sort is bottom upward, and so select Date/Lodge Entered.

What happens if y'all change the sequence?

First click Date so sort is bottom up, and so select Date/Order Entered.

Information technology doesn't affair.  The first time you select Date/Club Entered the newer transactions and the bare transaction are on the lesser no matter what it was sorted to before.  Doing information technology once more does opposite the sort, merely non where the blank transaction is.
